Peter I've been on the fence about reading your book, but if Ram Dass likes your book I will buy it.. I wonder if you can help me get past this one thing I hold against authors such as Paramahansa Yogananda and yourself which is the stories of magical experiences. These stories may be true, I don't know, but I don't understand what good it does me to read them. It makes me feel like I'm supposed to be looking for magical experiences like this in my life, and I have a gut feeling that that is far from what the path to realization is about. –Facebook, July 14, 2017
Thanks for being open to read my book. You are definitely right that one should not pursue magical or even extraordinary experiences, for that pursuit distracts from the realization of the Self, which can be perceived only in the NOW! However, consciousness can appear magical to the limited self. What we call magical is simply something that transcends our normal daily experience. Since consciousness is unlimited there is nothing that cannot be experienced. Reading about these experiences simply opens the mind to its true unlimited nature.
